Water highlights

Exercise while learning to swim. Many of the facilities at Weidener Thermenwelt can also be used by non-swimmers. Nevertheless, you’ll feel safer in the water if you can swim – and that applies to children and adults. What is more, you’re never too old to learn to swim. That’s why we offer swimming courses for all age groups.

You can take part in one of our group swimming courses or take advantage of the individual swimming courses that we offer. Together with Stadtwerken Weiden, vhs Weiden-Neustadt also provides regular baby swimming courses at Weidener Thermenwelt.

BABY SWIMMING COURSES

In cooperation with the FROSCHZIRKUS, vhs offers swimming courses for babies and young children.

Little frogs – swimming for babies (8 - 15 months):

Although this course follows swimming for babies (3 - 7 months), it’s also aimed at children with no prior experience of the water. We swim and play with the children. We want to make the children more independent and show them the opportunities and limits of the water in a fun way. The focus here is on enjoying the water in a safe manner.

Frog kids – swimming for small children (15 - 30 months):

The focus is on getting children used to the water and making sure that they’re safe. Naturally, swimming should be lots of fun too. Inexperienced and experienced small children can have fun paddling!
